Almost half of the United State's power plants are coal burning.
Giant power plants produce electricity by electromechanical generators fueled by either heat engines (i.e. coal) or nuclear fission. Kinetic energy, generated by the flow of water or wind, can also be used to produce electricity. In 2007, the rate of carbon dioxide emissions from electricity generating power plants was 250 million metric tons, which equals roughly 40% of the United States carbon emissions (Department of Energy).

Roughly 50% of the power stations in the United States are coal burning. Most of the carbon dioxide pollution is not from cars on the road, it's from giant power plants that provide the energy to houses and businesses running air conditioners and other appliances day and night. By converting just some of the use of electricity from the traditional power stations to a solar system, we can be emitting fewer pollutants into the air.

There is a finite amount of coal, but there is a limitless supply of sunlight.

With the sun shining every day for free our solar systems will save you money. Solar power offers several benefits, including energy-cost reduction, energy independence and freedom from fossil fuel generated power that is known to be a major contributor to the global warming observed over the last 100 years. With a Green Choice custom designed solar system you can be one of many saving money on your energy bills and helping improve the environment.
