Herbert Abel is an expert in renewable energy with more than two decades of entrepreneurial experience starting, managing, and rapidly developing successful businesses.
In 2004, he invested in a German biogas firm and became a member of its management board. He led the company through a period of extremely rapid growth making it a market leader in the biogas industry. In May of 2006, this company successfully went public on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
Prior to that, Herbert was a partner at a Munich-based consulting firm where he was responsible for M&A and Corporate Finance projects. Before that he was a shareholder and CEO of a Germany-based wireless-infrastructure firm, which he successfully sold to a strategic investor. He has also been CEO of several other firms in the wireless-telecom sector.
Scottsdale, Arizona-based Green Choice Solar LLC is his latest venture.
Herbert holds a MBA from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh.
Tony DoranAs Chief Revenue Officer, Tony brings with him 15 years of sales leadership experience in the technology and medical industries. He is accomplished in driving sales, product integrations, and market development. He has built and managed large sales teams designed for maximum growth.
Before Green Choice Solar, Tony was CEO for a nationwide medical consulting firm.
He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
Mike ToombMike Toomb, COO of Green Choice Solar, has more than 20 years experience managing business operations and departmental teams in both the retail and construction industries. Combined with a strong background in the design and implementation of roofing systems, he has directed as many as 300 staff in numerous departments, overseeing expenditures, budgets, and daily project goals. Mike has also served as a Sergeant in the United States Army and holds two degrees from Arizona State University, including a BS in Finance.
Randy ButerBefore joining Green Choice Solar, Randy Buter played a key role at The Wolff Company, a real estate holding and investment company, providing financial modeling, budgeting and planning, risk management, acquisition analysis, IT direction, and investor analysis.
Prior to this, Mr. Buter served as interim controller for Belae Brands, Director of Finance & Administration for Abel Telecom, and Director of Corporate Development for a start-up company called Evolution Holdings, Inc. Randy's extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions includes serving as Director of Strategic Initiatives at MicroAge, Inc., a $5 billion company.
Randy holds a BS in Accounting from Drake University and an MBA from University of Phoenix.
Robert WittmanGreen Choice Solar's CTO, Robert Wittmann has more than 25 years of professional experience. He started out as a telecommunications engineer and also gathered extensive experience in sales and management. After that he moved into the field of renewable energy and became an industry specialist for solar PV. He implemented over 500 Photovoltaic Systems in Germany before he came to the United States to join Green Choice. His technical prowess keeps Green Choice on the cutting edge of technological progress. Robert holds a degree in Computer Science from University Rosenheim in Germany.
Evgeni has extensive experience in software development and consulting spanning more than 22 years. He has consulted on design and implementation of advanced control automation and on embedded software solutions that control multi-function controllers, touch panels, distributed audio and video, and technology management using TCP/IP, OSI, RS232 and IR. Evgeni is in charge of the in depth design for the PV systems and the communications for the monitoring and billing systems.
Evgeni is an Electrical Engineer in Analog Integrated Circuits and has an MS in Automation of the Industry, Computer-Integrated Manufacturing.
Bruce Larson is a licensed electrical contractor, Master Electrician, and long time resident of the Phoenix area. He holds a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University.
For 25 years Bruce owned and operated Photovoltaic PV Electric Inc., an electrical contracting company that installed photovoltaic power systems and completed substantial residential, commercial, and industrial projects. For seven years prior to establishing Photovoltaic PV Electric, he worked as the engineering manager for Sola-volt International where he personally supervised the installation of more than 50 stand-alone photovoltaic power systems, primarily in developing nations. He has also supervised 27 grid tied PV systems in Arizona.
Bruce is a member of the IEEE and has served on PV committees for Underwriter Laboratories (UL), and on the City of Mesa electrical advisory board.
Bruce is also a NABCEP Certified Master Engineer.
